MidSouth Media Group began early 1999 and has grown into a multi-media company. Starting as a home and garden trade show in 1999, and then launching a regional publication – MIDSOUTH in Spring of 2000 and later launching a regional television show with the same name in April of 2002. MidSouth Media Group has grown to be a household name experienced in the home, garden and lifestyle of the Southerners in the mid-South area.
Early in 2005, MidSouth Media Group partnered with Eastport Publishing and sold the publishing division of MidSouth to Eastport. In doing so, this gave more focus and attention to each of the three aspects of the business – magazine, tradeshow, and television production.
MidSouth Media Group now holds two of the largest and well attended home and garden Expos in the mid-south – HomeSource Home Design Expo, held in January each year and Home & Garden Expo, held in September each year, attracting exhibitors and visitors from all over the mid-South. There is an estimated 11,000 people visiting each show. Every year, MidSouth Media Group brings in the best from the industry and also top talent from nationally syndicated programs.
The Newest shows to MidSouth Media Group are the gift shows, Spring Market, which will be held in the Spring and Mistletoe Merchants, held in October each year. Catering to the women in the area, each show brings in over 8,000 eager shoppers looking for the latest and greatest in fashion, accessories and home décor. Both Gift shows benefit the local charities.
All of our shows are sponsored by MIDSOUTH magazine. Each week, MidSouth Media Group the award-winning producers of Southern Homes & Lifestyles TV showcase an up close and personal tour of the South’s most beautiful estates. We hear directly from the builders, interior designers, contractors, homeowners, and many more people that were involved in creating these incredible homes. Southern Homes and Lifestyles is a 30-minute television show that caters to the upscale homeowner and focuses on the design elements that make each home distinctive and gives the viewers at home the secrets behind the building and remodeling of the finest homes in the South.
